Hydrate and eat your protein

I learned a lesson this morning at about 8:15am. That lesson was this: Eat your protein the night before! I was starving this morning and I know it's because I picked at my fish last night instead of eating it. So all my meals today were about an hour ahead of schedule. But I am still sticking to the meal plan. The most incredible thing for me right now is that I have not had ANY sugar, coffee, dairy or bread since last Saturday. And if you know me, you know that has never ever happened in my life. I really thought I was going to struggle big time with giving these staples items of my previous diet up, but in all truth, it hasn't been hard at all. Yeah sure I look at some food in my house and want to eat just a little but I quickly remind myself (or my husband reminds me) that it's not worth it.

What's important to remember is that everything you do is tied to a choice you made. So every time I want to eat something not good for me, I have to make the choice to walk away. I have to be the one to decide that my health is more important than the processed fat in front of me. And if I take the time to make the choice, I generally will make the right one. But we all have our weak moments. It happens. Cupcakes and Pumpkin Pie are just too good to pass up all the time! So just remember that if you make a bad choice today, you always have the next choice to make better. And you start again.

Side note: Look who got a new hat today

She wore that hat all over the house today

Today was a great day. I still feel good, strong, alert, and focused. I'm sure you all are fist pumping...or maybe it's just me.

BE THE BEST YOU.
